Minister: Tax, customs must raise extra 500 bln rbl for budget

MOSCOW, Oct 3 (PRIME) -- The government has ordered the Federal Customs Service and the Federal Tax Service to collect 500 billion rubles additionally for the budget in 2024 by raising compliance, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Tuesday.

"We are mobilizing income sources since budget is difficult. We have decided to improve income collection by the Federal Customs Service and the Federal Tax Service, we have given additional mobilization tasks worth 0.5 trillion rubles," the minister said.

He also said that the energy sector taxation would be fine-tuned, in particular, a discount to the oil price set for taxation purposes will be reduced, and a progressive scale of export duties tied to the ruble rate will be introduced. The excise duty on tobacco, winery products will be indexed, the recycling duty will also be raised beyond an earlier plan.

The minister said that support of participants of the special military operation and of the defense ability of the state was a priority of the Russian budget in 2024–2026. National defense spending is planned at 10.8 trillion rubles.

The programs of infrastructure development will not be curtailed, and such projects as the Dzhubga–Sochi and the Kazan–Yekaterinburg highways will be fulfilled.

The plan for transfers from the federal budget to the regions was kept at more than 3 trillion rubles in 2024, Siluanov said.
